  • Dr. Shadduck Appointed to Advisory Board of CJMIS!

    Congratulations to Dr. Phillip Shadduck for being appointed to the Advisory Board of the Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery (CMJIS), for a four year term (2015-2018). The CJMIS is the premier minimally invasive surgery journal for general and gynecologic surgery in China. Dr. Shadduck also serves as reviewer for Surgical Endoscopy, the Journal of the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons (JSLS), and the journal Hernia. Click here to Read More

  • Dr. Hage and TOSC featured on WRAL

    Dr. Hage, medical director at TOSC, was featured on WRAL discussing safety in ambulatory surgery centers. Dr Hage was also recently appointed Assistant Professor In the Department of Surgery/Orthopaedics at Campbell University Jerry M. Wallace School of Osteopathic Medicine. The video can be seen here:

  • Sam Dyer, PA-C Selected as President Elect of PAOS Board of Directors!

    Congratulations to Sam Dyer who recently was selected by members of the Physician Assistants in Orthopaedic Surgery (PAOS) to be President Elect of the Board of Directors. Sam Dyer has also earned his orthopaedic certificate of additional qualifications (CAQ) from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

  • New Physician: David Pilati, MD

    TOA is pleased to welcome new physician Dr. David Pilati. Dr. Pilati is a general surgeon and bariatric surgeon. He will be seeing patients at the Clayton office and at the Cary location of Bariatric Specialists of North Carolina, a division of Triangle Orthopaedic Associates.

  • Dr. Romine Lectures On New Minimally Invasive Technique

    Lucas Romine, M.D. recently presented research and lectured at the Eastern Orthopedic Association Meeting in Amelia Island, FL. The topic was “Arthroscopic, Anchorless Transosseous Rotator Cuff Repair”- which is a new, minimally-invasive technique for rotator cuff repair that does not require implants like anchors to secure the tendon back down to bone.

  • Burlington Orthopaedics is now a division of Triangle Orthopaedic Associates

    Triangle Orthopaedic Associates and Burlington Orthopaedics have joined forces to bring the residents of Alamance County and surrounding areas the most comprehensive orthopaedic services available. Our new Burlington location offers general orthopedic care including hand surgery, sports medicine, total joint replacement and fracture management as well as physical therapy.

  • Bone Health Recognized by IOF's "Capture the Fracture" Program

    TOA's Bone Health department recently applied to be a part of the International Osteoporosis Foundation’s Capture the Fracture Program. This program highlights medical institutions from around the world who are making strides in bone health. After they review each application, they give the practice a “star” based on how well their program is doing in “capturing” and treating osteoporotic patients. TOA was awarded 4 gold stars and is now featured on their website here.

  • Dr. Aldridge Elected President of NCOA

    Mack Aldridge, MD was elected President of the North Carolina Orthopaedic Association this past weekend and he will serve this next year. Congratulations Dr. Aldridge!

  • Dr. Gilbert Elected Chairman at Rex Hospital

    Dr. Brett Gilbert was recently elected chairman of the department of Orthopaedics at Rex Hospital. Congratulations Dr. Gilbert!

  • New Partnership with NCO

    TOA has joined forces with Northern Carolina Orthopaedics to bring the residents of Roanoke Rapids and surrounding areas the most comprehensive orthopaedic services available! This affiliation, which officially begins on September 8, 2014, will continue to provide excellent care but offer a greater variety of orthopedic services for the residents of Roanoke Rapids. Our Roanoke Rapids location offers general orthopedic care, sports medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy, diagnostic imaging services and a walk-in orthopedic clinic.

  • Dr. Kathryn Baerman Elected into The American Society of Breast Surgeons

    Congratulations to Dr. Baerman, Surgery Specialist of Triangle Orthopaedic Associates, P.A. for her recent appointment as a member of The American Society of Breast Surgeons. ASBS leads the nation as an advocacy organization for general surgeons who treat patients with breast disease. The society formed in 1995 and today, it has more than 3,000 members worldwide. Dr. Baerman currently participates in a fellowship program centered on breast disease treatment and surgery. She seeks to deliver excellent, individualized care, while accommodating each patient’s needs in a pleasant environment.
