In his 15 years at Triangle Orthopaedic Associates, P.A., Willy has held many responsibilities. Along with assisting in the Physical Therapy Department, he has been the Coordinator of the TOA Wellness and Pool Programs and an OSHA Coordinator as well. Through his duties, he has had a great deal of patient contact and built excellent rapport with patients and peers alike.

Prior to being employed by TOA, Willy worked in Minor League Baseball as a Certified Athletic Trainer with the Atlanta Braves. During his thirteen-year career in Baseball, Willy spent time in Idaho Falls as well as various cities along the east coast, such as Bradenton, FL, Macon, GA, Sumter, SC, Durham, NC and Danville, VA. During the off seasons, he dedicated his time to Division 1 Basketball as an Athletic Trainer with Virginia Commonwealth (1988-94) and Mercer Universities (1995-96).

Willy is currently the Athletic Trainer at Durham School of the Arts. He is licensed by the State of North Carolina as an Athletic Trainer. Willy assists patients at the main location of Triangle Orthopaedics in Durham as well as at the D1 Sports facility in Brier Creek. Willy Is married to Elizabeth Johnson, PT and has two children, William IV and Sarah.

In June, 2012, Willy was recognized for his outstanding service to Triangle Orthopaedics, and received one of the practice's Employee of the Year awards.
