Dr. Gaught is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Medicine. She completed her residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, serving as Chief Resident during her final year. She then went on to complete further subspecialty training with a fellowship in Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine at OrthoCarolina Spine Center in Winston-Salem.

Dr. Gaught is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She is an active member of the North American Spine Society, International Spine Intervention Society, American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and the North Carolina Medical Society.

Dr. Gaught is an Interventional Physiatrist, and specializes in comprehensive non-surgical management of spine and other musculoskeletal conditions, including acute and chronic back and neck pain, sciatica, nerve pain, and joint pain. She is fellowship-trained to perform fluoroscopically-guided lumbar and cervical epidural injections, diagnostic nerve root blocks, facet joint injections, medial branch radiofrequency neurolysis, sacroiliac joint injections, and upper/lower extremity joint injections. She is also trained in performing nerve conduction studies and electromyography.
