Dr. Belhorn earned her undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed her residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and then moved north to fulfill a Rheumatology fellowship at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and also received certification in the subspecialty of Rheumatology.
After practicing in Houston, Texas for six years, Dr. Belhorn returned to North Carolina where she joined Durham Rheumatology in 1999. Durham Rheumatology now operates as TOA Rheumatology, and Dr. Belhorn continues treating patients at the main campus in Durham as well as in Chapel Hill, NC. Her clinical interests include general rheumatology as well as the connective tissue diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis and lupus.
