Biography:
Leonilde (Leigh) Alves graduated with honors from Albany Medical College Physician Assistant Program, NY where she obtained her Physician Assistant Degree.
She has two years of Post Graduate Medical Science Studies from Harvard University and Northeastern University. She is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Health Administration and Policy.
Leonilde has been in Medicine since 1999 with a combination of experience in Substance Abuse Treatment, Family Practice, Emergency, and Urgent Care.
Leonilde is licensed by the North Carolina Medical Board and is certified as a Physician Assistant by the National Commissioner on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants.
Leonilde practices in our Durham and Oxford Wellness office. She mainly works in Pain Management and Rehabilitation and rotates in Triangle Orthopaedics’ Urgent Care and Durham Regional Hospital in-patient Rehabilitation Center. She works very closely with Dr. Wilson, Dr. Eisinger, and Dr. Orenstein, as well as supervised by our orthopaedic physicians in Urgent Care.
