North Carolina Specialty Hospital continues a 76-year tradition of offering the highest quality medical care to patients throughout the Triangle and the state.  Formally known as McPhearson Hospital, today the hospital has expanded its areas of specialization to include ophthalmology, otolaryngology, orthopaedics, podiatry, sports medicine, cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.

There are currently a wide variety of procedures for adults and children including Cataract Surgery, Corneal Transplant, Knee, Shoulder, Elbow and Ankle Arthroscopy, Sinus Surgery, Retinal Surgery, Knee, Hip and Shoulder Replacement Surgery, Spinal Surgery, including Disk Replacements and Fusions, Myringotomy and Tubes, Tonsillectomy and Oculoplastic Surgery are performed with North Carolina Specialty Hospital’s state-of-the-art equipment. 

Triangle Orthopaedic Associates, P.A. physicians perform orthopaedic procedures at North Carolina Specialty Hospital and some of the physicians of TOA are partial owners in this facility.
