Immediate care for common orthopaedic injuries
In February of 2002 Triangle Orthopaedics opened an orthopaedic urgent care center at its new facility located at 120 William Penn Plaza
This orthopaedic urgent care center is open during extended hours, from 3pm until 9:30pm Monday through Friday, and from 9am to 2pm on Saturday. Holiday hours are from 9am to 12pm. X-ray is available. The urgent care center is not open on Sundays, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day.
Triangle Orthopaedics Urgent Care Center offers the added security of being in close proximity to Durham Regional Hospital, in the event a person’s orthopaedic injury turns out to be more serious than originally thought. A transfer to the hospital will be arranged for anyone whose orthopaedic or other condition is considered to be serious. The cost of a visit to this orthopaedic urgent care facility is considerably less than the average hospital emergency room visit, and is covered by many insurance plans. It is important, however, for individuals to check with their insurance carrier to be certain of coverage.
It is our hope that providing this new service assists in the management of patients with acute musculoskeletal injuries occurring after hours that do not require an emergency room visit.
Orthopaedic injuries treated
Immediate care is provided for the following home, sports, auto and work injuries:
- Cuts and lacerations
- Sprains and strains
- Whiplash injuries
- Suspected fractures and dislocations
- Acute, new onset lower back and leg pain
- Foot and ankle injuries
