John P. Goldfield, MHS, PA-C

Biography:

John is a graduate of the Duke University Physician Assistant Program where he earned the degree of Master of Health Sciences. He holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine.

He is licensed by the North Carolina Medical Board and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants, the Triangle Area Physician Assistants and Physician Assistants in Orthopedic Surgery.

John was a Paramedic for 6 years prior to becoming a Physician Assistant, and has knowledge and experience in the management of most orthopedic problems. He practices under the supervision of the orthopaedic surgeons of Triangle Orthopaedic Associates, P.A. He assists in surgical cases at Durham Regional Hospital, the James E. Davis Ambulatory Surgical Center and the North Carolina Specialty Hospital.

John is especially interested in patient education and advocacy. He feels that knowledge about one’s condition leads to a more efficient recovery process and facilitates prevention of future injury.
