Our specialty-trained foot and ankle physicians offer a full spectrum of care from common injuries, disorders and diseases to complicated conditions. Our goal is to get you “back on you feet” by taking the time to properly diagnose your condition, recommend appropriate treatment and lead you through your rehabilitation. The Triangle foot and ankle team will investigate your problem by obtaining a detailed history of your condition and performing an examination of your feet, legs, walking style, and shoes. To ensure the most accurate diagnosis, we also offer open MRI, CT scan, and nerve studies. While the causes of foot pain and ankle pain vary, many cases can be treated without surgery. We can often manage conditions that cause swelling and pain using traditional methods such as rest, ice, orthodic braces, anti-inflammatories and cortisone injections. If extensive injury or malformation of the foot or ankle occurs, more severe surgery may be necessary. Surgery can effectively re-establish the position of bones, ligaments, tendons, and nerves.
